The History
With endless possibilities of great things to do and places to explore – Los Cabos
is a great place to live. Back in 1992, my father and Step-mom, built a house in
San Jose del Cabo and I immediately fell in love with the area, the community and
the lifestyle the moment I stepped off the plane from my native Vancouver, British
Columbia.
The Lifestyle
I knew I wanted to call Los Cabos for so many reasons. Mostly, though – I love the
water-based lifestyle. In fact, most mornings you can find me stand up paddling,
surfing or taking a beach walk and a swim with my dogs. There are so many great
beaches to enjoy on a regular basis. My local favourites are Zipper's (San Jose del
Cabo), Acapulquito, (Cabo Surf Hotel) and of course the East Cape. I recently
joined the Orquesta Sinfónica Independiente.
What Keeps Me Here
I’ve been fortunate enough to have met many great friends from all over the world
right here in Los Cabos. We all have a common “Baja Bond.” We enjoy all that Los
Cabos has to offer: loads of social functions, charity and sports events. There truly
are so many ways to get involved in our community.
Philanthropy
If you like to be involved and find a way to give back you can help our local children
and families through well established charities such as the Los Cabos Children's
Foundation, Casa Hogar, Liga Mac, Red Autismo and Surfer's Healing to name a
few. For those who want to help our four-legged friends, the Los Cabos Humane
Society is a wonderful group making a difference. I make a point of trying to help
out all of those who are less fortunate by either attending events or donating my
time or money.
Real Estate
Real Estate is a lifestyle career. I love what I do! People attracted to the Baja tend
to be spirited and love life! They love the ocean, whether it is for a swim, some
surf, or deep-sea fishing. Land lovers love our World class golf courses, tennis and
off-road adventures such as Zip-line, mountain biking and checking out our local
farms and Baja Buggies. I am fortunate I get to do it all!
The Community
When it is time to indulge you can find me at one of our spas or having a spa
service at my house. Whether poolside at your residence or at one of our fabulous
hotels, our local spa professionals provide an honest, caring approach and
experience. There’s definitely a benefit to living in a resort community!
Whether it is your favourite bartender, massage therapist or house staff, Mexicans
and the culture as a whole are lovely people; willing to work hard all the while
taking pride in what they do.
Medical Care
The medical industry provides fantastic health care, as well. From dentistry to
chiropractic care to surgeries (I had my knee done 2 blocks from my house!) – the
care has been reliable and professional.
Dining
We have a great assortment of dining choices, from Rossy's Taco in San Jose del
Cabo to Agua Restaurant at the Palmilla and everything in between there is
something for everyone. Ask me about great personal chefs or hidden gems for
dining – I’d love to let share my secrets with you!
Living life to its fullest and appreciating my surroundings make Los Cabos the
perfect choice for me to live and work here. I love our planet and have found
myself living in paradise. It’s my mission to appreciate and share this amazing
culture with all of you.
